Cats don’t drink still water.

A cat's instinct reads standing water as unsafe, and most cats will not drink enough from a bowl beside their food. FeliSpring keeps 2.2 litres moving and filtered in a steel basin that does not hold bacteria the way plastic does.

A cat drinking from the spout

Moving water reads as safe. Still water does not.

Why the bowl is not working

Cats descend from desert animals and take most of their water from food. On a dry-food diet that instinct leaves them short. Three things stop a cat drinking from the bowl you already own, and all three are fixable.

01

They avoid still water

In the wild, standing water is where bacteria sit. Moving water reads as safe, so a fountain gets used when a bowl does not.

02

The bowl is next to the food

Cats will not drink where they eat. That is a contamination instinct. A fountain gives you a reason to move the water across the room.

03

Plastic holds a biofilm

Scratched plastic traps a slick of bacteria that you can feel but not see, and it is a common cause of feline chin acne. Steel does not scratch the same way.

Everything that matters, done properly.

30 dB pump

Quieter than a fridge. It sits in a bedroom without waking anyone. That is the most common complaint about cheap fountains.

Food-grade stainless basin

304 steel. It does not scratch into a biofilm the way plastic does, and it will not hold odour.

Runs dry safely

The pump cuts out when the water drops too low instead of burning out. It restarts itself when you refill.

Triple filtration

Carbon for taste and chlorine, foam for hair and grit, a mesh pre-screen for litter. Filters last about four weeks.

Dishwasher safe, four parts

The whole thing comes apart in about ten seconds. Nothing needs a brush you have to buy separately.

2.2 litre capacity

A week of water for one cat. Long enough that a weekend away is not a problem.

Sits in a kitchen without looking like pet equipment.

The spout is what gets a reluctant cat to try it.

2.2 litres covers two cats for three to four days.

The bit you'll buy again

Filters last about four weeks. Three come in the box, and replacements are standard sizes, ours or anyone's.

90-night trial

Cats take a fortnight to accept anything new, so a two-week return window is useless. Take three months. If your cat will not use it, we refund you in full and you do not have to ship it back.

Questions

My cat is frightened of it. What do I do?

Put it where the old bowl was and leave the old bowl beside it for a week, unplugged for the first two days so it is just a new bowl. Nearly every cat crosses over inside ten days. If yours does not, send it back.

How loud is it really?

Under 30 dB. You hear water, not a motor. If it starts humming, the pump usually just needs rinsing; that is a two-minute job and covered in the guide in the box.

How often do I change the filter?

About every four weeks for one cat, every three for two or more. Three filters are in the box, and replacements are standard sizes you can buy anywhere.

Is steel really better than plastic?

For cleaning, yes. Plastic scratches, and scratches hold a bacterial film that is hard to shift and is linked to feline chin acne. Steel takes a dishwasher cycle and comes out clean.

Can I use it for two cats?

Yes. 2.2 litres covers two cats for three to four days. Cats often prefer to drink separately, so give them room around it.

What if my cat still will not drink more?

90 nights. If your cat is not drinking more than it did from the bowl, email us and we refund you. Keep the fountain or pass it to a shelter.
